Building tomorrow’s leaders today.
The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce has created two programs to educate and nurture our future community leaders. Through educational seminars and leadership skills development, we hope to develop a group of informed, committed citizens who will assume leadership roles in our community. Click below for additional details and program applications.
Leadership Wake Forest
Leadership Wake Forest is a comprehensive program for current business professionals. Once a month for nine months, participants are involved in interactive classes that provide an in-depth view of the town’s history; regional, state and federal government; economic development; entrepreneurship; education; public service; and health and wellness. The application period for the 2016-2017 Leadership Wake Forest class is closed. Applications for the 2017-2018 class will be available in July 2017. Limited scholarships are available.
Youth Leadership Wake Forest
This annual training program is for high school students who have demonstrated some leadership abilities. The program aims to develop a group of informed, committed and competent youth motivated to learn more about our community, to assume leadership roles in our schools, and to become more involved in our civic, cultural, economic development, and philanthropic organizations and groups. Financial support for this program is provided by Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company. Applications are now available for the 2017-2018 Youth Leadership Wake Forest. Applications must be submitted by February 24, 2017.
