Building tomorrow’s leaders today.
The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce has created two programs to educate and nurture our future community leaders. Through educational seminars and leadership skills development, we hope to develop a group of informed, committed citizens who will assume leadership roles in our community. Click below for additional details and program applications.
Leadership Wake Forest
Leadership Wake Forest is a comprehensive program for current business professionals. Once a month for nine months, participants are involved in interactive classes that provide an in-depth view of the town’s history; regional, state and federal government; economic development; entrepreneurship; education; public service; and health and wellness. Applications for the 2017-2018 class are now available. There are only 20 spots available for this year’s class so turn in your application in before the August 31 deadline.
Youth Leadership Wake Forest
This annual training program is for high school students who have demonstrated some leadership abilities. The program aims to develop a group of informed, committed and competent youth motivated to learn more about our community, to assume leadership roles in our schools, and to become more involved in our civic, cultural, economic development, and philanthropic organizations and groups. Financial support for this program is provided by Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company. The application process has closed for the 2017-2018 class. Applications for the 2018-2019 class will begin in January of 2018.
