The Chamber Business Expo, hosted by the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce and presented by B & W Hardware Company, will be held Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at Richland Creek Community Church, 3229 Burlington Mills Road, Wake Forest. Admission is FREE, and business professionals and residents alike are encouraged to attend. Browse 100 exhibitor booths manned local businesses, non-profits and government agencies; enjoy free food samples from restaurants and caterers; and enter to win door prizes, including a Traeger Grill package worth more than $1,000!

In addition to booth displays, the Expo will include two educational seminars facilitated by Wake Technical Community College. Both seminars will be ideal for business professionals and local residents interested in upping their game in the business world.
The first seminar, “Finding Your Brand Voice: The 5 Stories You Need to Market Your Business” will take place from 4:00 – 5:15 pm. Join former Disney storyteller, author, and local brand creator, Annie Franceschi, for this exciting presentation to:
  • Discover what goes into creating a compelling marketing message (aka “your brand voice”)
  • Learn where your stories fit in competing for the attention of your ideal clients
  • Identify where to find the 5 key stories you should be focusing on to create the most powerful marketing for your business

This interactive workshop will leave you feeling inspired to show your value, tell your story and grow your business through branding!

The second seminar, “Social Media 101,” will take place from 5:30 – 6:45 pm. If you’re wondering if social media marketing is right for your business, the results are in – whether you are selling a product or service, social media is a great way to drive repeat sales and gain new customers. Tabletop Media Group’s “Social Media 101” presentation will offer a social media overview of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and compare the pros and cons of each platform, so you can decide which social media site or sites is right for you and the customers you are trying to attract. We will also cover how to take quality photographs using your smart phone, introduce you to photo editing applications, and walk you through how to post on social media. Feel free to bring your smart phone!

Both seminars are free to attend.

The Expo will also honor our first responders during our first annual First Responders Lunch sponsored by Allstate-Thomas Walters. Our guest speaker is Staff Sergeant TImothy Payne. Payne grew up in Buffalo, N.Y., and graduated high school a month before 9/11. After the attacks on the World Trade Center, he joined the U.S. Army. During his 3rd combat deployment he was critically injured, resulting in the loss of both legs. Now as a retiree, he conducts himself as an Ambassador for disabled veterans. He travels and shares valuable lessons learned fighting in close combat, battlefield injuries and the process of recovery. Without giving to much away we are going to hear a story of Tim’s survival.

The luncheon will take place prior to the Expo from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. Limited tickets are available to the public and may be purchased by clicking here.
