The Wake Forest Career Readiness Academy is now live! Formerly Youth Leadership Wake Forest, this new and improved program will allow high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn leadership skills, gain an internship or apprenticeship opportunity with a local business, receive job training from industry experts, and learn basic financial literacy skills.
The program includes eight monthly leadership and job training sessions that will be conducted during the school day and one full semester completing an internship at a local business. Students will learn many job readiness/soft skills, industry specific information, leadership skills, and financial literacy skills. The ultimate goal will be to create well-rounded youth with career ready skills needed for their future. The overall program will encompass 150 hours, and graduates will receive a leadership and soft skills certificate of completion.
