Chamber Foundation Receives $95,000 Grant from U.S. Chamber of Commerce for Workforce Initiatives
December 13, 2018
Congratulations to the Wake Forest Chamber Foundation for Common Progress on receiving a $95,000 grant from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce! The Foundation is one of only five foundations chosen from across the country to participate in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation Education and Workforce Career Ready Lab. The grant will be used to implement a work-based learning program for high school students that will better connect students with academic and experiential learning opportunities in our community.
With the workforce challenges we face, chambers of commerce must lead, and we are extremely proud that our Foundation will lead the charge in 2019 thanks to this grant. The Foundation has only been in existence for three years but has proven itself as a leader in the country for its educational programming and initiatives.
