About the Wake Forest Area Chamber Foundation

The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation is affiliated with the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce. The Foundation was officially started in 2015 as a brainchild of Louis Mullinger and Brian Pate and had one event that year, an Adult Spelling Bee. The next year, both the Wake Forest Adult and Youth Leadership programs were run through the Foundation. In subsequent years, a workforce development focus was added setting the stage for our Young Entrepreneur Fair and Financial Literacy. The Foundation now serves youth throughout the Wake Forest Area from middle to high school.

Mission

To cultivate and expand the talents and skills of today’s future leaders in the Wake Forest area by focusing on four core areas: leadership, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy.

Wake Forge (Wake Forest Area Chamber Foundation K-14th Grade Advisory Board) includes representatives from the following organizations:

  • Heritage High School Career Development Counselor and Business Alliance
  • Wake Forest High School Career Development Counselor and Business Alliance
  • Wakefield High School Career Development Counselor and Business Alliance
  • Wake Tech Community College
  • Wake County Public Schools’ Area Superintendents
  • Wake Forest Area Chamber Foundation Oversight Committee
