Reality of Money Workshop Educates Local Middle School Students

The Wake Forest Chamber Foundation hosted a Reality of Money Workshop for local middle school students last week. Eighth-grade students at Wake Forest Middle School were given real-world scenarios to teach them the importance of budgeting and prioritizing spending. Each student received a career with a set annual salary and given life circumstances such as single parent or married with no children, then they had to see how far their dollars would go toward housing, childcare, insurance, taxes, entertainment and more.
